Parents raise concern on threatening of junior students
Serious concerns are now being raised by some parents that a group of senior students from some schools in Suva are approaching and threatening some junior students to sell drugs in their schools.

Some concerned parents have told Fijivillage that these incidents are taking place at a gaming centre in Suva.

One of the grandparents said he has also visited a gaming centre where most of these students are hanging out.

He said this is where the group of senior students are targetting the young students.

He said he has alerted Police about this matter.

He said that the gaming centre is open all night and he has also received information that the centre is charging students $8 each and they can spend the whole night at the centre.

Some parents are also dropping off their children at the centre for the night.

Meanwhile Police in the Central Division are still investigating an incident where a 14 year old student was allegedly assaulted by a group of students for refusing to peddle drugs.

The student was allegedly assaulted at a Nasese bus stop earlier this month.

According to Police this is a serious concern and the investigators have been tasked to thoroughly look into this allegation.
