Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama said the government has a vision to transform the Northern division to the same level as Viti Levu.
While opening the new $2 million Taveuni Dive Resort last night, Bainimarama stresses that every Fijian deserves to have services like water, electricity and telecommunications.
Bainimarama said the opening of the Dive Resort shows confidence in the Fiji economy.
He said he is also happy that the diving industry is growing in the country, attracting more tourists to our shores.
The Prime Minister also said the government’s vision for 2015 is clear.
Bainimarama also said the plans to develop the Northern division will continue this year.
The Taveuni Dive Resort management says 50 jobs have been created after the opening of the resort.
Bainimarama will today open the Taveuni Women’s Resource Centre in Waiyevo, the Niusawa High School Girl’s Dormitory and the Somosomo Hydro project.
