North currently being lashed with heavy rain
People up North are currently being lashed with heavy rain and winds.

Fijivillage has been informed of eight families in the village of Nakelikoso in Nadogo, Macuata currently taking shelter at the CMF church.

These families were forced out of their homes after it was flooded, due to last night’s heavy rain.

Village headman, Jonasa Vunivola confirmed there is still no change to the weather as its still pouring.

The eight houses have been vacated as water has entered the living room and the bedrooms and the beddings are all wet.

Vunivola said he has alerted the District representative and also the Police in Wainikoro about the flood.

The village headman has announced to the villagers to start moving slowly to higher grounds.

Nakelikoso vilage is 40 kilometers from Labasa town.
