Residents of Delainavesi, Lami and Veisari just outside the capital city Suva have raised concern that they have not been receiving normal water supply for about a month now.
Veisari Resident, Sharon McGowan said they face water cuts on a daily basis with no warnings given by authorities.
Delainavesi resident, Ruby Wilson told Fijivillage News that they face alot of difficulties without water and authorities should do something about it.
A Lami resident who did not wish to be named said they do not have water after 7pm everyday and they are lucky if they get water in the morning.
They have been facing this problem for over two months adding they store water whenever the tap is running, which is rarely.
Meanwhile, Spokesperson for Water Department, Maika Nagalu said they still do not have any timeframe by when the water supply in these areas will normalise.
He said the water level at Tamavua reservoir is quite low and unless there is enough rain, the situation is not going to improve.
