No investigation will be carried out by the Public Service Commission into allegations that Permanent Secretary Taina Tagicakibau watched a rugby match between Fiji and Samoa earlier this month at taxpayers expenses.
Chairman for PSC Rishi Ram had today clarified that there was no denial from Tagicakibau but added she watched the match after she completed her official duties.
Ram told Fijivillage that he was aware of the official visit made by Tagicakibau to Lautoka on 7th June to inspect government quarters in Lautoka.
The Prime Minister's office wrote a letter to the Finance Ministry requesting the reasons as to why Tagicakibau inspected government quarters and not the Commissioner Western District Officer and divisional engineers.
The letter also asked when it became the Permanents Secretary's responsibility to make such inspections and also reasons why she was watching a rugby match.
However, Chand told Fijivillage this morning that he could not say anything on the allegations made adding that PSC will continue to manage the office accommodation unit as it did in the past.
