Despite the lack of training resources available, Nilsen College in Vatukoula maintains its focus on achieving positive results in the Weet-Bix Western Zone Raluve competition.

In an interview with fijivillage news, Nilsen College Assistant Principal, Marica Ratulevu says this is their first time participating in the competition and she believes the girls are enjoying this new experience.

Ratulevu says they only participate in netball but now they are exposed to male-dominated sports and they hope that the girls will develop their skills and knowledge in rugby.

She adds the lack of equipment is one of the challenges that they are facing, but the girls are not losing hope and are pushing themselves to the limit.

Nilsen College lost to D.A.V Ba 33-0 in round 2 of the competition last week and will take on A.D Patel at the Ba Methodist Ground this Saturday.
