Villagers of Nakida in Naitasiri who have been crying out for a new road for almost three decades have described government’s decision to build the road as a blessing.

Senokonoko says having a Prime Minister lead a government that fulfills the needs of the people of Nakida is indeed a blessing and no words can express their gratitude and happiness.
Currently under construction and still in what engineers term as the ‘pilot cut’ stage, the Nakida Village Road links up to the Nawaisomo road.
Minister for Infrastructure Jone Usamate says government is here to serve and to see that every Fijian is given opportunities to be part of the wider strategies of development.
Usamate says he is happy that during his term as Minister he was able to return to Nakida in a vehicle as only two years ago he had to walk to the village.
