New Gibson Freight warehouse to enhance Fiji’s status in transportation and transshipment

The new $1.6 million Gibson Freight warehouse will offer seven additional employment opportunities and logistics services to the company’s clients and support the new streamlined services.

This was highlighted by Ministry of Public Enterprises Permanent Secretary David Kolitagane at the launch of the company's new warehouse complex in Valelevu.

The company currently has fifty employees in the country.

Kolitagane says the opening of the new warehouse will enhance Fiji's status as regional hub for transportation and transshipment.

He stresses that this new investment demonstrates the confidence global operators have in the Fijian economy.

He also adds that Fiji garment industry provided a vital base for Gibson Freight to secure and develop its presence in Fiji.

Gibson Freight Executive Chairman Bill Gibson acknowledged  Fijian government for supporting the business investments in the country.

He says that this will not only contribute to the economy however, this investment will open up employment for Fijians.

The Gibson Freight is operating its business in Fiji since 1990
