New B737-800 plane for Air Pacific
The new B737-800 plane for Fiji's international carrier, Air Pacific has arrived in the country and airline CEO, Dave Pflieger said this is the first step in their fleet renewal process.

This will see the end of the leasing arrangement for one of the B767's from early next year.

Speaking during the traditional welcome ceremony for the almost new aircraft at the Nadi International Airport this afternoon, Pflieger said with the addition of this new aircraft, there will be an increase of flights to Sydney by almost 50 percent.

While welcoming the B737 and the crew, Acting Prime Minister and Tourism Minister, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said the changes which Air Pacific is now bringing is focused on the future.
