Neptune Pacific Line is now the new owner of Williams and Goslings Limited.

This has happened after Neptune Pacific Line acquired Pacific Direct Line from its Singapore based parent holding company, Pacific International Lines, the 10th largest container carrier in the world.

Through this acquisition, Neptune Pacific Line becomes the new owners of all of Pacific Direct Line’s regional and Fiji based companies, including notable ones like Williams and Goslings, Transam, Transam Genera, container repair, sale and depot company CRS, as well as Pacific Bulk Fuel (PBF), a joint venture company with McKay Shipping, dedicated to the sale and transport of fuel, lubricants, gas and drums throughout the Pacific.

Neptune Pacific Line is part of the US$4.6 billion ‘Wonderful Company’, founded by Stewart and Lynda Resnick, headquartered in Los Angeles, and also the same owners of FIJI Water, one of Fiji’s biggest exports.

This multi-million-dollar acquisition now makes Neptune one of the largest shipping companies in the region combining synergies across its shipping business, transport, warehousing, freight forwarding, depots, customs clearance services and fully integrated customers’ supply chains right across 18 South Pacific countries.

As a result of this acquisition, Neptune will have access to 6 new markets which includes Wallis and Futuna, Tuvalu, Kiribati (Tarawa & Christmas Island), New Caledonia and Tahiti.

In Samoa, Neptune also owns 50% of Pacific Forum Line, in partnership with the Samoan Government.

The Managing Director of Neptune, Rolf Rasmussen says this purchase supports their long-term vision of creating the strongest and best regional network of shipping and logistics services in the Pacific.

He says by acquiring PDL, they can further develop their mainline shipping network to provide fixed-day services and increase the utilization of their combined fleet, enabling them to continue to offer competitive freight rates.
