Outstanding Radio Journalist of the Year at the Fiji Awards for Media Excellence and Fijivillage news director Vijay Narayan who scooped the award for a third consecutive time said that the media has always been questioned but in the end, if the media do their work in the proper manner and follow the right ethics, there will be no need to question them.
Meanwhile, Dave Lavaki, Creative Director for Communications Fiji Limited who walked away from the Fiji Awards for Media Excellence with awards in the Radio Category for Script Writing, Best Use of Talent and for the Best Radio Advertisement said that winning last night was a big surprise and it would have been impossible without the CFL family.
However, Lavaki added that for one to be able to master ones skills and talents, nothing would seem impossible.
The Life Time Achievement award for journalists and inducted into the Hall of Fame was given to Vijendra Kumar who had served the Fiji Media Council for a long time and who was also the first local to become the editor of the Fiji Times and the Robert Keith Award for Outstanding Journalism went to deported Fiji Sun publisher Russell Hunter.
