[L-R] Flying Fijian Leone Nakarawa and his cousin Milie Navia

While Leone Nakarawa was attempting to hold back the Wallabies during Fiji’s 39‑21 defeat by Australia last night, his cousin was living every shuddering tackle ‑ watching on in her role as a media volunteer.

Milie Navia who is three‑quarters of the way through a master's degree in global environment management at Hokkaido University, had not even told her famous relative she would be pitch‑side at the Sapporo Dome.

Navia says she was so excited when she found out she had made it as a volunteer.

She says she called her mum and she said Navia had to tell Nakarawa but Navia wanted to surprise him.

Nakarawa was surprised when he saw Navia during the captain's run on Friday.

Navia says Nakarawa wanted her to cook him some chicken soup.

As Nakawara and his team‑mates head south for Wednesday's crucial match against Uruguay in Kamaishi, Navia will be helping the world's media cover England v Tonga tonight as a member of the Rugby News Service.

Navia will get to see Nakarawa one last time when the Flying Fijians play Wales in Oita.

She says Nakarawa has promised her tickets for the game.
