The Paramount chief of Nadroga the late Turaga Bale Na Ka Levu Ratu Sakiusa Makutu will be laid to rest today at his Sautabu called "Tana".
The Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama will lead the government delegation today to present their rugeruge before the Funeral service begins at 11am.
Ratu Sakiusa was called to rest at the age of 66 on Sunday at his chiefly residence in Cuvu Village, at around 12 midday.
Ratu Sakiusa is one of the country's hereditary chiefs and exerts a lot of political clout over the province's iTaukei population and has taken an active part in national affairs over the decades.
He is survived by his wife Torika Lutu, five children and seven grandchildren.
