NFP member and Minister for Defence, Pio Tikoduadua

Running a country transitioning from authoritarian rule to true democracy is no easy task and we are part of that journey and the National Federation Party is here to stay.

NFP member and Minister for Defence, Pio Tikoduadua stressed this during the NFP Ra Branch Annual General Meeting while speaking to over 200 members.

Tikoduadua reaffirmed the party’s unwavering commitment to democracy and the people by saying they are big enough to take the pressure.

He reminded members of the importance of upholding democratic values, including freedom of speech and civic responsibility and warned against slipping back into one-man or two-man rule.

The Minister says they have their strength from the people, and that is why a party like NFP will be here for a very long time.

Tikoduadua says this is not December 2022, the situation has changed and they must adapt to stay relevant.

He urged members to continue standing with NFP, to speak up and to remain engaged.

He adds that have many enemies in the Opposition, but they must never compromise on the principles they stand for.
