Former Fijian Holdings Limited Group CEO, Nouzab Fareed says his resignation should not be misconstrued that he has done something wrong.

Fareed resigned on Friday and has said that he did it on his own accord and the only people he consulted was his family.

He says Fijian Holdings Limited is much larger than Fareed.

Fareed has served FHL Group since October 2004 in various capacities.

Fareed became Group CEO in February 2011.

The board says during this period, he led the group with strong leadership and made positive contributions to increase shareholder value.

He adds that as of yesterday he is in the job market.
