The interim prime minister stresses that he will not sack any interim minister following allegations of tax evasion.
Commodore Bainimarama said it would be unfair to make any such decision based on the claims made by certain people.
Meanwhile, Deputy Police Commissioner Eroni Antonio said they will look into the matter in relation to the allegation that an interim minister has been evading taxes.
Antonio said following the necessary checks, they will decide on their next step.
He said Viti National Union of Taukei Workers General Secretary Taniela Tabu met with him last week and he has already been advised by the police that they will look into the matter.
Antonio said they will decide whether to proceed with the investigations or refer the matter to the Fiji Islands Revenue and Customs Authority.
