Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for External Trade, Cooperatives and SMEs, Manoa Kamikamica met with staff from the different departments at the Ministry headquarters at Civic Towers yesterday.
Speaking to the staff, Kamikamica emphasised the important role of the Ministry in growing the economy.
Kamikamica says the intention is to keep growing the economy- whether by five or 10 percent and there are many opportunities available that must be tapped into.
He says the work of the Ministry will be a conduit to this growth and as such, ideas from the staff will be taken on board.
The Minister adds that as servants of the public, the outcomes and achievements of the Ministry will be measured and for that, performance was important.
Kamikamica says he is honoured to work with them and commended the staff for availing themselves for a briefing with him on Boxing Day.
