History has been made on the FM96 Big 96 Countdown with Vodafone as a local song has scooped the number 1 spot for the first time, and that honour goes to Fiji's first all female band Marama, for their song Marama Dina.

The band is made up of Vocalist and Guitarist DeeVa, Drummer Teagan Fong, Vocalist Marilyn Mataiasi, Vocalist Guitarist and Keyboard Player Naomi Kaloumaira, Semi-Acoustic Guitarist Kula Tikoisuva and Bass Guitarist Elaine Gock.

The band was formed under the guidance of Apakuki Nalawa (KUKI) who is the Managing Director of Resonance Entertainment.

Marama made a big splash during their first public performance at the Miss Hibiscus Festival earlier this year.

The video clip for Marama Dina has over 566,000 views on YouTube.
