A 40-year-old man of Ba has been charged with 83 counts of rape of his daughter and one count of indecent assault.
The carpenter appeared before Ba Magistrate Mosese Naivalu today who has remanded him in custody and transferred the case to the Lautoka High Court.
The alleged incidents took place between May, 2014 and November 2015.
Magistrate Naivalu has also ordered that the daughter be escorted to her mother in Tailevu.
The girl was 16-year-old at the time of the first alleged incident.
The matter was reported to Police by the daughter earlier this week.
