The Chairperson of Leadership Fiji, William Parkinson

The Chairperson of Leadership Fiji, William Parkinson says leadership is about action and not position, it is about who can bring changes at any level of the community.

Parkinson highlighted this during the Leadership Fiji 2023 Program Launch and 2021 Fellow Induction held at Holiday Inn.

He says it is the 22nd year of their operation with 535 alumni involved with leadership community as the program has continued to evolve in past years and they will also look forward to a bigger representative and participation of Government in their programs.

Parkinson says they promote concepts of leadership, action and the fact that anyone can become a leader to make difference in their communities.

The Chairperson says they have done many actions since the launch including the formation of a charitable trust that now has fully taken shape legally.

He officially announced and acknowledged the sponsorship and partnership between Leadership Fiji and Fiji Water and Star Printery.

Minister for Lands and Mineral Resources and Leadership Fiji Alumni, Filimoni Vosarogo says as a member of the Alumni it is an honor for him and privileged for him to speak at the launch and induction.

Vosarogo says he wishes that the program continues to channel great leaders of tomorrow and to stand by the virtues as it is about how much one can learn and make differences on people around them.

The 2023 participation for Leadership Fiji and Oral Health Officer Amish Kumar says small initiatives matter in our community and he would like to help the people around him.

Kumar says he wants to build his leadership quality and become a better leader in the future through networking and making changes around him.

Participant Deepika Dimlesh says she tried her luck to be part of the program earlier but did not succeed however, she is lucky to be selected this year.

Dimlesh says she wants to encourage women's empowerment in communities to create the realization that women are not only meant to handle the kitchen as there are opportunities for them outside their circle.
