International School Suva is celebrating the diversity of its community as students, families and volunteers come together for the 2026 Fun Day.
Head of School Jesse Donnelly says the event is about bringing the ISS community together and, most importantly, having fun.
Donnelly says one of the exciting new additions to this year's Fun Day is the Fiji Arts Council community weaving project, which represents the diversity of the school and the 54 nationalities that make up the ISS community.
He says there is also a greater focus on sustainability this year, with cycling stations around the school and Green Team volunteers encouraging everyone to play their part in looking after the environment.
Donnelly also acknowledged the students who performed a traditional meke, saying it was a special way to welcome people to ISS and a reminder of the community and culture the school is fortunate to be part of in Fiji.
He thanked Timothy Ulacake and everyone involved in creating the new ISS Spirit Song, which was featured during the event.
Donnelly says he believes the Spirit Song is something the ISS community will hear many times in the years ahead.
He also acknowledged the school's PTA and the many volunteers who have spent countless hours over the past few months preparing for Fun Day.
Donnelly thanked them for their energy, generosity and commitment, saying the event would not have been possible without their support.
Th Head of School encourages students, families and visitors to enjoy the food and activities, spend time together and, most importantly, have fun, with the event set to close at 2pm.
