The Land Transport Authority will start opening their offices on Saturdays for business at the major centres around the country.
LTA centres in Valelevu, Vatunibale in Labasa, Waimalika in Nadi and Vatunabale in Ba will open from this Saturday.
Fijivillage had raised this issue a number of times on why LTA offices are not open on Saturdays as many people say they work in the weekdays and cannot visit the office for LTA services due to work commitments.
Authority CEO Carmine Piantedosi says the services provided will include renewing of driving licenses, collection of learners and driving license cards and wheel tax stickers, payment of fines, wheel tax and road levy payments.
People will also be able to do driving tests but only through advance appointments.
The LTA offices will be open from 9am to 1pm on Saturdays.
