Self care, helping others in need and following the COVID-19 safety measures are some of the ways we can overcome what we are going through at the moment with the rising number of COVID cases.

Renowned psychologist Selina Kuruleca of Kuruleca Consultants says lockdowns and containment zones will be established to reduce the risk of the spread of the virus, and we all need to ensure that people’s mental health is paramount to deal with the virus.

She says she knows food security is an issue for families severely affected, and this is where people within the neighbourhoods need to look out for each other to ensure they are safe.

Kuruleca also says people need to go to trusted sources of information rather than being online for hours.

She says this is not a time to be stressed out but to only control what you can control.

If you are stressed out or need to talk about mental health, you can contact Selina Kuruleca on 9922237.
