Kolinio Meo pleads not guilty
Former Director of the Fiji Institute of Technology, Kolinio Meo this afternoon pleaded not guilty to one count of abuse of office before Magistrate Aruna Prasad.

The Court heard that from the 12th until the 17th of December 2005 Meo allegedly took sick leave and recuperated at the Raffles Tradewinds in Lami.

The bill amounting to over $726.63 dollars is alleged to have been footed by FIT.

Magistrate Prasad granted him bail on the condition that he surrenders his passport and alerts police if he is to leave Suva.

He is to report to the Nabua Police station every alternative Saturday and is to pay $500 as assured

He will reappear in Court on the 7th of next month.

Meo was questioned and charged by FICAC earlier today.
