Jetstar to start flying to Fiji from tomorrow

Fiji’s tourism industry is expected to get a major boost from this week as Jetstar will start flying to Fiji from tomorrow.

Jetstar is an Australian low‑cost airline which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Qantas.

Minister for Industry, Trade and Tourism, Faiyaz Koya will be at Nadi International Airport to witness the arrival of the inaugural Jetstar Flight, from Coolangatta in Queensland to Nadi, and welcome 180 passengers on board.

This will include the Chief Executive Officer of Jetstar.

Tourism Fiji said the opening of this new route by Jetstar between Fiji and Australia is expected to benefit Fiji’s growing tourism industry by attracting more tourists from Australia to Fiji’s shores and boosting the economy.
