Police are now gathering statements in the case where a woman allegedly utilized about $105,000 which was meant for a netball tour for primary school students this month.
No arrests have been made as yet.
Concerned parents of two age group primary students netball teams filed a police complaint after the money they contributed towards the Australian tour this month was allegedly used by the Tour Coordinator.
Fijivillage has received information from parents that there was a plan for the Suva Under 10 and Under 12 teams to go to Australia for a match in Brisbane and two matches in Sydney.
The parents had to give $2,750 per child for the netball tour.
Some parents also decided to accompany their children to Australia.
They were supposed to leave on the 28th of November however a message was sent out that the visas were late and the trip would be a bit delayed.
The parents claim that an urgent meeting was called last week where they were told that the trip will not go ahead as the money has been used up and the visa applications were not even put in.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirms that a report has been lodged at Totogo Police Station by concerned parents alleging $105,000 was used by the coordinator.
Investigations continue.
