The Interim Finance Minister stresses that the interim government is trying its best to assist the Tourism industry within the limited funds which are available to them.
After continuous pleas by former interim Tourism Minister Bernadette Ganilau for the state to allocate more funding for the Fiji Visitors Bureau following the events of December 2006, speaking on a talkback on Village, Mahendra Chaudhry said the funds allocated is sufficient.
Chaudhry said an option which could be explored is to set up a Tourism Industry fund which could assist stakeholders in difficult times such as those faced by after the events of December 5th, 2006.
