Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama said he is not involved in the review of the Police Commissioner's contract.
When questioned about the recent request by the Police Commissioner to review his contract, Commodore Bainimarama said that the request has not been received by him and he will not make any decision on the matter.
He only said that the Constitutional Officers Commission is handling the matter and he will only comment when anything is received by him.
Meanwhile the Citizens Constitutional Forum has called on the Constitutional Officers Commission to explain why they are reviewing the contract of Police Commissioner, Commodore Esala Teleni.
CCF Executive Director, Reverand Akuila Yabaki said the Commission should now reveal what review is being done to Commodore Teleni's contract.

The Constitutional Officers Commission, Chairman Rishi Ram confirms that they are looking at reviewing some provisions of the contract which Commodore Teleni wants changed and the matter will be resolved later this week.
Rishi Ram added the Police Commissioner was told about his contract before he was appointed, and he was fully made aware that he will not receive any special treatment.
