Initial plans underway on development of new Raiwaqa market

Initial plans are underway in relation to the development of the new Raiwaqa market.

Minister for Local Government Parveen Bala says a concept plan is currently being put together with all aspects being considered.

He says that once completed and approved, the construction will begin.

When asked by Fijivillage regarding the space at the Raiwaqa market building which used to consist of Raiwaqa bakery and other outlets, Bala says it has been leased out however he will not be able to disclose any more information as plans are still being put together.
