The Republic of Indonesia has donated $10.38 million to the Prime Minister’s Relief and Rehabilitation Fund.
Indonesian’s Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Luhut Pandjaitan handed over the cheque to the Prime Minister.
Pandjaitan also extended the Indonesian President and its people’s condolences to Fiji in the aftermath of the devastation caused by TC Winston.
Bainimarama thanked Indonesia for their continued support towards Fiji.
The Prime Minister’s Relief and Rehabilitation Fund has also received $298,000 worth of donations from private organizations.
Air Terminal Services Fiji donated $153,000, Asha Bhai and Sons gave $50,000, the Guru Nanak Sat Sangat of California, comprising of former Fiji Sikh community members donated $50,000, Industrie Safety and Civil Limited gave $25,000 while China Gezhouba Group Company Limited Fiji branch donated $20,000.
