Reports have emerged that former Swire Shipping Fijian Drua and Fiji Water Flying Fijians rep Vinaya Habosi has been taken into police custody for an allegation of domestic violence against his partner.

This was reported by Tight Five Rugby via their X page.

Habosi’s club Racing 92 has released an official statement saying they have taken note of the facts alleged against their player, Vinaya.

They say pending further information from the competent authorities, Racing 92 will refrain from any further comment.

It is alleged that Habosi pushed his partner while she was holding their baby, causing them both to fall.

It is also alleged that he then punched her in the back of the head.

The Drua had immediately terminated his contract after he assaulted his partner in Fiji, and the Drua stated it was a high-level breach of the club’s code of conduct.
