Delegates from the Guangdong province in China met with the Suva City Council today to look at ways they can assist each other.
Suva City Council Director Health and Acting Chief Executive Officer Bijay Chand said they have highlighted areas where they need assistance which is in the human resources section including city planners and engineering people.
He said the Guangdong provincial team is in Fiji to strengthen the sister city relationship.
They have also brought a range of medical experts who will assist 70 patients at the Nadi Hospital.
Chand said the medical team is currently in Nadi and are intending to visit other towns and cities.
