Government looks into new road for Nasava village
Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed‑Khaiyum

The Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed‑Khaiyum has assured people that the government will be looking into the construction of a new road for Nasava village in Naitasiri.

The construction of a new road was proposed by some members of Nasava village that were present at the 2017‑2018 Budget Consultation in Suva.

Noemalu Mata‑ni‑Tikina Epineri Beledawa says they have to walk for five hours from their village to where they can catch their transport to Suva.

He says they then travel for 3 more hours to reach Suva with their produce to sell at the market.

Beledawa says this new road will benefit the six villages of the Noemalu district and more than 600 villagers.

He says this will be a living testimony for the district as their elders also dreamt of a road for the district.

He says these six villages are Nasauvere, Nasava, Matawailevu, Nakorokoroyawa, Korovou and Tubarua .
