Waratahs number eight Langi Gleeson who has maternal links to Fiji has been named in the Australian side for their clash against Wales this weekend.

20 year old Gleeson was raised in Fiji and attended Dilkusha Boys Primary School.

Gleeson has replaced the injured Rob Valetini (ankle) at the back of the scrum in what will be a much-changed Australia team from the one beaten by Ireland in Dublin.

It will be Gleeson's first Test start after two games off the bench, continuing a meteoric rise for the powerful Waratahs youngster.

The 20 year says that he did not expect to be a Wallaby within 10 years and was just trying to make his Waratahs debut this year.

Gleeson was scarcely used by NSW in Super Rugby this season but he flashed his enormous potential for Australia A in the Pacific Nations Cup and tour of Japan.

The Wallabies will take on Wales at 3.15am Sunday.
