Gibson appointed as new EFL CEO

New Chief Executive Officer for Energy Fiji Limited, Fatiaki Gibson and former CEO Hasmukh Patel

Fatiaki Gibson is the new Chief Executive Officer for Energy Fiji Limited.

EFL Board Chairman Rokoseru Nabalarua says Gibson previously served as a General Manager, Major Projects at EFL and brings extensive leadership experience and deep expertise in energy infrastructure, regulatory compliance and renewable energy development.

He says Gibson's appointment comes in at a pivotal time as EFL accelerates its transition towards 90 percent renewable energy by 2035.

Meanwhile, Gibson acknowledged the Board of Directors, the Chairman and the EFL family for having the confidence in him to take over the role as CEO.

He says it was a very robust process in the recruitment of the CEO, and he is thankful and blessed to have their support and the support of the staff.

Former CEO Hasmukh Patel says he is grateful that Fatiaki will take over his role as CEO and he fully supports his appointment.

Gibson's appointment starts today with former CEO Hasmukh Patel, who will continue to support EFL in an advisory and consulting capacity, working closely with Gibson to ensure a seamless leadership transition.
