French rugby coach shocked

The French rugby coach Marc Lievremont was shocked with the suggestion that it would be better for them to finish second in pool A with the prospect of an easier route in the World Cup play offs.

With Ireland's upset win over Australia, the favored Tri Nations teams are now on one side of the knockout draw and the Six Nations teams on the other.

That will be the case if the All Blacks beat France this weekend.

Lievremont said it would be against the spirit of the game to throw their match against New Zealand and they don't go into a game thinking they're going to lose.

This weekend's game between the All Blacks and France is a sellout, as is the Fiji vs Samoa clash on Sunday.

On Saturday at 8.30pm, New Zealand will meet France while the Boks face Namibia on Thursday at 8pm.

The Fiji and Samoa game kickoff on Sunday at 2.30pm and you can catch the live commentary on our sister station, Viti FM with the voice of rugby, Malakai Veisamasama and expert comments from former Wallaby and former Fiji player and 2007 RWC coach, Ilivasi Tabua.
