A Free At Last Victory march and celebration is planned to be held in Suva next Saturday after the coalition government came into power.

One of the organizers, Eremasi Tamanisau says after 16 years of being deprived of expressing their rights, 800 Fijians are allowed to march from the Suva Flea Market to Albert Park to express their joy of freedom.

The Republic of Fiji Military Forces Marching Band will be leading the march, along with the Youth Band and the Police Band.

Organizing committee member Seru Serevi says a church service will also be held, and coalition government MPs are expected to attend the event at Albert Park.

Tamanisau says they will also have entertainment at the event.

Guest speaker at the press conference, Rajesh Singh assures the public that there is nothing to be alarmed about and Fijians should express their freedom at the Free At Last Victory march and celebrations.

Meanwhile, Chief Operations Officer Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police Livai Driu says they have received the application and approved the permit.
