At least five people have been killed and several others are "gravely injured" after a shooting at a US newspaper building.
Police confirmed on that they were responding to an "active shooter" in the city of Annapolis, where the Capital Gazette newspaper's offices are located. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives also responded to the scene.
A suspect is in custody, police said an "explosive device" was also found at the scene.
A White House spokeswoman said President Donald Trump was briefed on the shooting. Lindsay Walters, the spokeswoman, said, their thoughts and prayers are with all that are affected.
