The file in relation to Vilikesa Soko has been returned to Police for further investigations.
This has been confirmed by Director of Public Prosecutions, Christopher Pryde who said that preliminary review on the death of Soko has been completed.
Pryde said there are a number of issues which remain outstanding adding that in matters as serious as the death of a person in police custody, it is important that all issues are looked at very carefully before a final decision on any charges is made.
He added that the Director of Public Prosecutions will not give a time frame for the completion of the investigation or a decision.
Pryde said the public can be confident that the matter is being thoroughly investigated.
Soko was allegedly involved in the robbery at the City Forex Foreign Exchange in Nadi in August and died in police custody.
Soko was arrested by police in Sigatoka a few hours after the robbery and police had confirmed that two suspects including Soko sustained injuries during the arrest and were admitted at the hospital.
Soko passed away at the hospital four days after his arrest.
