Fijian Drua Women secures 3rd win of the season after defeating the Brumbies 20-7 tonight

The Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women secured their third win of the season after beating the Brumbies Women 20-7 in their round 4 of the Super Rugby Women’s competition clash tonight.

It was a game filled with a lot of errors and mistakes with both teams having their fair share of it, but the Drua managed to pounce on the opportunities they could see which could get them points.

Flanker Sulita Waisega scored the first try for the Drua in the 13th minute with the conversion successful to give her side a 7-0 lead before Brumbies replied with a converted try to hooker Tania Naden to lock the score at 7-all.

Fullback Luisa Tisolo regained the lead for the Drua converting a penalty kick at goal in the 35th minute.

The Drua went into halftime with a slight 10-7 lead.

The Drua scored a further 10 points in the second half through a converted try from winger Atelaite Buna and another penalty kick from Tisolo to give them the win.

The Drua currently sits in 2nd place on the Super Rugby Women’s points table with 13 points.

The Waratahs still lead the table with 15 points and the Force is third with 9 points.

The Drua Women will take on the Rebels at 7.05pm next Saturday.
