Fiji is really putting itself on the map as far as call centre services are concerned.
CFL News Director Vijay Narayan has more from Canberra.
A number of call centre services have been provided from Kalabu for a while and the companies using Fiji for call centre services is growing.
Many mobile phone card service providers have opted to outsource their call centre services to Fiji.
This is cheaper for the companies and they are happy with the great standard of service in Fiji.
A major company has outsourced their call centre service to a company based in Kalabu.
Fijivillage has established that the call centre services are being outsourced to Fiji as our standard of English is good and we have a moderate accent.
Many of these services were previously outsourced to India however they had to go through a lot of training in English.
This is not a problem in Fiji.
Meanwhile, Fiji can be seen in some major hotels in Australia, like the Novotel Hotel in Canberra, bottles of Fiji Water are next to the bedside and this also gives great mileage to the country.
