Fiji drawn with Samoa, Tonga and Cook Islands for Downer Rugby League World Cup 9s Sydney

Fiji has been drawn in group C against Samoa, Tonga and Cook Islands for the inaugural Downer Rugby League World Cup 9s Sydney.

Group A includes Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and USA while England, Wales, France and Lebanon make up group B.

The two highest‑placed sides of Group A will progress to the tournament's semi‑finals, where they will face the winners of groups B and C.

In the Women’s competition, Australia, New Zealand, England and Papua New Guinea will battle each other.

The Rugby League World Cup 9s will be held in October.
