Bhawani Dayal Arya College blue ribbon champion, Josevani Ramaraca, who won gold in the Coca-Cola Triple N Zone says his father who is suffering from arthritis is his biggest motivator as he prepares for the Coca-Cola Games.

Ramaraca has participated in two previous Coca-Cola Games but has not been able to qualify for the blue ribbon final.

He hopes to reach the final and win it this year.

In an interview with fijivillage News, Ramaraca says he has been training with Pacific Sprint King, Banuve Tabakaucoro and Fiji Athletics sprint coach, Bola Tafou.

He won the gold in the Triple N Zone with a manual time of 10.93 seconds.

The 18-year-old from Draubuta, Tokatoka in Tailevu says he has to focus on what he has learnt once he is on the tracks.

He says he has been staying with a teacher in Raiwaqa as he prepares for the finals.

7 athletes from the school will be taking part in shot put, 200 metres and senior boys 4x100 metres relay events.

The Coca-Cola Games will be held from tomorrow to Saturday at the HFC Bank Stadium.
