Father, son charged with attempted murder appears in court
A father and son charged with attempted murder, drunk and disorderly, resisting arrest and damaging property appeared before High court judge, Justice Salesi Temo yesterday.

The two 18 year old Anasa Baleinabodua and his father 48 year old Tevita Seru are alleged to have attempted to kill a policeman on duty at the Grantham road Police Post last month.

In court, Justice Temo said that the two were charged with a serious offence and ordered that they have to look for a lawyer to represent each of them.

The court heard that Baleinabodua was a former St Giles patient and he will be remanded for further examination.

Meanwhile, his father, Seru applied for bail saying that he should be released because it was his son who allegedly committed the offence however Justice Temo told Seru his bail application will be heard on the 10th of next month.

Seru is remanded at Korovou while his son is remanded at Saint Giles hospital.

The case will be recalled on the 10th of September.
