Beware of fake news as we see the trend emerging again just like before the previous elections where fake news is being circulated by some mischief makers.

The current fake news is targeting Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Professor Biman Prasad.

Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka has labeled Ben Padarath’s posts as fake news.

He says “fake news by Ben Paradath. Stop the lies, Ben. We see through you now. Truth will always win.”

Rabuka has also called out Suliasi Daunitutu sharing fake news saying the Prime Minister will take action against NFP.

fijivillage News has also received information that a former FijiFirst candidate, Elaine Chandra has filed a complaint with the Online Safety Commission regarding the people involved with the former Vatis Communications, which was formed as a public relations company by the FijiFirst campaign team member, Arnold Chanel.

When contacted, Chanel says fijivillage needs to stop attaching his name to articles about fake news that he has no connection to.

He says it's misleading and amounts to fijivillage spreading fake news.

We are awaiting a response from the Online Safety Commission.
