The Interim Prime Minister has stressed that the military will push ahead in its mission to ensure that ethno-nationalism is eradicated in Fiji.
Commodore Frank Bainimarama said the RFMF has to ensure this time that the next government does not come back with policies that benefit the elite from one race.
He said his mission is also to ensure that everyone who was born here and has contributed to the nation has a sense of belonging when they live in the country.
Bainimarama said this could not be done after Qarase was appointed after the 2000 coup.
Commodore Bainimarama also said that Fiji has had enough problems and his main concern over the past few years was that the Qarase government had started implementing the policies which were proposed by George Speight and his group back in 2000.
Meanwhile, the ousted Prime Minister has stressed that Fiji does not need a People's Charter to achieve true democracy.
Laisenia Qarase said the SDL's stand is clear that it will not be part of the National Council for Building a Better Fiji.
