The Ministry of Education will be looking to meet with the Veiuto Primary School management board sometime this week in relation to the school asking parents for advanced payment of school fees.
Permanent Secretary for Education Dr Brij Lal said he was trying to set up a meeting with the President of Veiuto Primary School Parents and Teachers Association Selina Kuruleca but could not as she was not in the country.
Dr Lal stressed to Fijivillage that parents and guardians should ignore the letter given by Veiuto and not pay any advance school fees.
Meanwhile, Kuruleca said she is willing to meet the Ministry of Education to iron out the issue.
