The Military's Land Force Commander, Colonel Pita Driti is going on a 6-month tour of duty to Iraq.
Permanent Secretary for Information and Military Spokesperson, Lt Colonel Neumi Leweni confirmed that Colonel Driti will leave for Iraq within the next few weeks.
Lt Colonel Leweni confirmed that current head of the 3FIR Unit and Chief of Staff of Land Force, Lt Colonel Ratu Tevita Uluilakeba Mara will be the acting Land Force Commander as Colonel Driti will be away for six months.
