Draft of Peoples Charter Made Public Today
A major step in the history of Fiji is currently unfolding at the Nasova Police Barracks as a draft of the People's Charter recommending major constitutional and electoral changes is being made public by the National Council for Building a Better Fiji.

The Draft Charter was discussed at length by the NCBBF over the last two days and as the nation awaits to see the draft charter, it is now clear that the proposal will have major electoral changes including a new voting system and a One Man One Vote System.

The unveiling of the draft Charter and the next six weeks of consultations will be the final lap for the NCBBF as the final Charter is expected to be handed to the President, Ratu Josefa Iloilo in early October.

The 5th NCBBF meeting ended in the last hour and a press conference is currently underway where the draft People's Charter will be made public.

Stay with us for developments as our reporters are at the Nasova Police Barracks where the press conference is taking place.
