Continue with bus fare concessions-Chaudhry
Interim Finance Minister, Mahendra Chaudhry has today called on the bus operators of the country to continue with the 50 percent concession on bus fare for the senior citizens who have ID cards from the Land Transport Authority.

Chaudhry said the bus operators have already received a 10 percent fare increase and it is their social responsibility to provide some relief to the elderly and the sick by providing this concession.

Following the announcement by the operators that they have stopped the fare concessions after the interim government reduced their fuel rebate; Chaudhry said it would be wise for them to continue.
